"The staff was super helpful and lovely. The building is beautiful with great views. Having dinner & breakfast included was very relaxing & the food was wonderful. And drinks included! The onsen was right down the hall. Again, so relaxing. The only thing I would have changed was not to take the bus from the station to the hotel. It was super crowded & uncomfortable. Spring for a taxi or Uber."

"From the amenities, views, service, and overall facilities, this property is truly exceptional. The food stands out for both its quality and variety, and the spacious hot tub is a highlight. The only minor drawback is that the room feels a bit tight for four people, as it’s originally designed for two—adding two futons required removing the coffee table to create space. That said, everything else the property offers more than makes up for it, to the point where the room size hardly mattered. Even our room overlooked the stunning Lake Ashi, making the stay all the more special. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience."

"Nice view but too remote. There are a lot of rocky stairs to climb up to the hotel. Only 3 male staff are there and they are helpful. The shared bathroom looks scary as the light is dim and very quiet."

"I stayed at the hotel only for sleep. I even have a chance to enjoy "onsen" because of my limited time. I didn't have an opportunity to talk with the staff very much because I arrived there after 10 P.M. The parking was large enough and well arranged, so I could easily put my vehicle. The dormitory type room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There is always the potential problem because of the room type... snoring and chatting by other guests in the nighttime were somewhat bothering, However, over all, my experience was good."

"Loved it. Very friendly and helpful staff, but limited English beautiful and serene surroundings, nice room with great view, well priced. Lovely place. A little out of the way and tricky to find, but that’s part of the charm and serenity. View of Mount Fuji very nearby. "

"Great place for the price. Step up from a hostel that works well for families and has a really nice Onsen for private use. Breakfast was also really nice! Service was also very friendly and helpful. Downsides are the location and the lack of shower in rooms. "

"The bottom floor with the sauna, onsen and showers was incredible. There was a staff only door which was a little concerning near the bedrooms (which do not have a lock) but my group did not have any issues during our stay. The check in was a little troubling, we get there at night."
