"Top tier hotel extremely customer focused. Great breakfast. We did not eat dinner there. Opted for a little brew pub Gora Brewery. Onsen was lovely "

"Really great furnishings. We enjoyed the indoor onsen, which was already on for us at the right temperature when we arrived. The property has a manual in English which allowed us to understand how to operate all of the major appliances like the microwave oven and the washer / dryer. The check-in process was the most involved of any property we stayed in in Japan."

"Absolutely delightful hotel: helpful staff, clean, comfortable, huge room, wonderful food, free tea/coffee/alcohol whenever you like, japanese robe and towels included. The private onsen was so lovely - don’t be fooled by the photos, it was clean as a whistle, just stained by the minerals in the water. Absolutely enormous amount of all sorts of strange and delicious food for both dinner and breakfast. I’m staying in hostels pretty much every night of my holiday in Japan but wanted to spend one night having an affordable ryokan experience: this place was by far the cheapest in the Hakone area but I can’t see how it could have been better. Adding be put off by its location, it’s a short very easy bus ride from Lake Biwa; it’s also right next door to a 24 hour convenience store. "

"The outdoor public onsen was great and very relaxing! That combined with the traditional room and dinner was a very cool experience. The staff were friendly and polite as well and were helpful in explaining the correct rules for wearing the yukata and using the onsen. Overall, a great stay."
