"Room was clean, the ac worked great, the staff was friendly and helpful! I wish the room had a microwave and that the room was a touch more sound proof. I love the sound of the waves , but I'm a light sleeper and it was a bit too loud even with my headphones."

"Have kitchenette, microwave, full fridge, ocean views, onsite laundry facilities, close- by walking distance nearby golf park no elevator, limited space parking besides street parking overflow, well lit, on duty security, swimming pool, relaxing atmosphere, near public beach- park, nice paved walking path to famous community walking Liliuokalani park, excellent bedding, free wifi, nice, beautiful Hilo hotel very cozy, safe and comfortable, friendly staff"

"The hotel is located on the beach. It has great amenities like a gym and an onsite location. While we stayed, the hotel was in transition with work and you had to summon the elevator via calling front desk who would radio the employee in the elevator. I don’t know if that is a long term inconvenience although the front desk made it work relatively seamlessly. There is no room service feature and the valet parking service was not operating during our stay. I would have liked to have a deck to sit out and watch the sunset. Again, not sure if this is construction-related. Overall, the stay was comfortable. It’s located close to the airport and as stated earlier, it’s on the beach."

"We had a great experience from check in through check out. Our room was upgraded at check in to a room with an ocean view and we were given fresh lei’s. Our room key was in the form of a waterproof bracelet so we didn’t have to worry about carrying a card with us. The resort was beautiful. We enjoyed the pool and had wonderful service poolside. What we didn’t expect was how great the snorkeling was off the beach that is about a 10 minute walk from property. We had dinner at the restaurant on their property, the Canoe House. We reserved a table there well in advance and was the original reason we decided to stay at this resort. The head chef was the winner of the most recent season of Top Chef. The staff was helpful throughout the stay. Whenever we looked like we needed help, one of the staff would stop and give us information. They offered both self and valet parking. We chose self park because we wanted easy access to our car and it was convenient. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay here again on another trip to the big island."
