"The property was clean and well equipped. The outside space, garden was nice to have. We stayed at Easter, so still a little chilly to sit out. Off road parking outside the property. Easy to access local shops, pubs, places to eat within walking distance. Owners were on hand if we needed anything. Would stay again."

Town centre was just a short walk and provided all necessary services Many interesting walks from the property most notably along the River Ure Will hopefully return"

"Lovely cottage in a great village. Everything you need and the log fire is great. Fabulous location next to a brilliant pub!"

"Room was in good condition however it was a disabled room that was not advised on booking. There was an intermittent unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom. Seeing the disabled room I immediately requested a room change but here was not much enthusiasm as we had a 2 night stay and was told the hotel was full the following night so not much they could do and on the first night there were currently no other made up rooms. Overall the staff at the bar and in the restaurant and around the hotel were very good however breakfast on Sunday morning left a lot to be desired in terms of service as anything cooked took an age to arrive and my wife after at least half an hour gave up on hers but it did arrive as we were leaving! The grounds and facilities are excellent. On departure I was clear to my complaint on the room, I was offered a token without any any investigation and offered access to speak with the deputy manager. I declined both and hoped it would have been dealt with differently as my point was not financial and being fobbed off with £50 and having to request the manager did not feel right. My intention was to convey disappointment with the room in the hope of investigation and recognition to a problem with some assurance it would not remain an issue for others. I left feeling no one really cared! "

"Although wasent in the cottage much as out all day most days,found the tv a bit confusing only seem to get certain things on it and no freeview channels at all."

"We stay at the Hay Barn during firework time because we have a dog that is terrified of bangs. A great place and the Landlord (next door) is a lovely chap. If you don’t like hustle and bustle it is an ideal place to stay."

"A wonderful house for a week long stay with friends. Lots of space to relax, great kitchen, warm as toast, homely and comfortable, beautiful outlook into the fields from the kitchen and living room. Hosts were super responsive and lovely too."
