"Easy check in and rooms did the job! Few bits of wear and tear in the rooms but nothing that a lick of paint can’t fix. Would recommend to anyone who needs a hotel in the Clacton area!"

"All staff were excellent and went out of their way to make our stay as good as they could. Although a modern hotel , it doesn’t really cater for us older generation. Unable to use tv in our rooms, only via apps which we couldn’t use. 1 lift was out of order and the second lift kept failing, so the staff moved us 4 guests to the ground floor. Tv still no good there. It seems to be a business hotel, so not suitable for the visiting Ipswich leisure guest. Due to the difficulties with changing rooms, the bar running out of basic drinks, it spoilt our stay. Thankyou to all the staff for doing your best."

"Pool area wasn’t clean and stank of urine in the changing room. Breakfast wasn’t fresh, eggs had been under the lamp for ages and bacon was cold."

"Wivenhoe House is the only hotel we stay every time at Colchester. we love the hotel environment with pretty of green area around, super nice staffs, great restaurants always serving good quality meals that make me want to go back every time"

"The room was clean and had everything you needed, great teas and a pod coffee machine. The furniture was semi antique/replica which was fine. Grounds are beautiful and house itself amazing. Dinner was superb. "
