Shangri-La Resort

"Our stay at Shangri-La from 9/17 - 9/20 was overall very nice. The resort is showing its age and the rooms are somewhat small, but they were clean. The biggest adjustment was that the on-site bars closed somewhere between 9:00 and 10:00 on Thursday and by 11:00 on Saturday, although they did stay open for the remainder of one of the football games, but then closed. The staff was very helpful and nice to work with. The golf course was excellent and was the main reason we went to Shangri-La for the weekend. The staff at the course were great to work with and very helpful is setting up tee times. The tee boxes were the nicest I have ever played on, large and flat and perfectly manicured. The greens rolled fast and true and were in great shape. And, the fairways were perfect for the most part. Since they have 3 9 hole courses, the course never felt overly crowded. But...it was a golfing weekend with lots of players on both Friday and Saturday and the courses did play a little slow. The bar and grill at the course did not open until 4:00 each day but we did eat there Saturday night and had a great dinner. Overall, we would definitely return to Shangri-La, for either a relaxing weekend with family or for a golf weekend with friends."

"We stayed during Labor Day weekend 2026. The check-in process could not have been any more smooth. Very open space, beautifully decorated, brought home many ideas that I want to incorporate in my house. Very quiet couldn't hear anybody around us. Short walk down to the Drunken Rooster, a nice restaurant that can be viewed right from the deck. Had our boat docked at the marina right next door at Honey Creek Next to Drunken Rooster. Don't know if we were the first ones to ever stay here because we couldn't see any marks, any scrapes nothing. Looked immaculate and brand new. Stayed here with our twin 21-year-old boys and had plenty of room since there are 3 bedrooms all with their own bathrooms. Appliances were very easy to use. Right down the road is a Walmart, Dairy Queen and grocery stores. Could even walk to many of them if we wanted, it was just too hot. Definitely will want to return in the future. Communication with the owner was very fast, didn't have to talk to them until we left though just to tell them that we checked out early. Definitely want to return in the future. Thanks for having us!"

"What a quaint little house. Very comfortable and clean. Loved the nautical theme throughout the house. Patio and Blackstone grill were a bonus. Josh our host was very easy to communicate with during our stay. All the amenities were very thoughtful. We had a very nice stay."

"The house was completely stocked for everything you would need for a family - plenty of towels, plenty of swim towels, fully stocked kitchen, and had a baby bed. The house was beautiful! Very nice size for a big family. The outside had a great outdoor seating areas. We couldn’t have been more happy with our stay. The parking easily accommodated a truck and boat trailer plus 2 other trucks and 3 cars. The hosts were amazing, the house was clean and very comfortable. We were Very pleased with our stay. Thank you for hosting us!"
