Shangri-La Resort

"Our stay at Shangri-La from 9/17 - 9/20 was overall very nice. The resort is showing its age and the rooms are somewhat small, but they were clean. The biggest adjustment was that the on-site bars closed somewhere between 9:00 and 10:00 on Thursday and by 11:00 on Saturday, although they did stay open for the remainder of one of the football games, but then closed. The staff was very helpful and nice to work with. The golf course was excellent and was the main reason we went to Shangri-La for the weekend. The staff at the course were great to work with and very helpful is setting up tee times. The tee boxes were the nicest I have ever played on, large and flat and perfectly manicured. The greens rolled fast and true and were in great shape. And, the fairways were perfect for the most part. Since they have 3 9 hole courses, the course never felt overly crowded. But...it was a golfing weekend with lots of players on both Friday and Saturday and the courses did play a little slow. The bar and grill at the course did not open until 4:00 each day but we did eat there Saturday night and had a great dinner. Overall, we would definitely return to Shangri-La, for either a relaxing weekend with family or for a golf weekend with friends."

"Second stay at this property. Having access to dock for enjoyment and to slip our boat was enjoyable. Due to extreme heat, the mini-split AC struggled to keep up some. Overall a great stay."

"We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back! The location was one of the best parts of this property. It was in a quiet area near a large marina with several great restaurants nearby, making it easy to head out on the boat or grab a meal.The property was perfect for boating. We appreciated having a place to park our boat, and being in a no-wake zone made getting in and out of the dock easy and stress-free. At the same time, we were just minutes from so many activities and popular spots on the lake.The hosts were excellent. We didn’t need to contact them often, but when we did, they responded almost immediately and were incredibly helpful with any questions we had.Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay. The location, boating convenience, and outstanding communication from the hosts made for a great experience. We highly recommend it and look forward to staying here again!"
