"Very clean, very beautiful and staff were incredible. My only critique is the mini bar. To me its an out dated design and a bit insulting, like your spending money to be there only to be met with auto charged drinks. Water is also given free so it’s a bit redundant. Besides that though! Perfect stay, 100% recommend."

"Toyoko Hotels are usually great. They are clean, convenient, and affordable, and they tend to have lots of useful amenities or people who might have forgotten to bring something like a toothbrush or razor. This particular hotel has a really convenient location that's a short walk from several train stations and from a couple of very charming and pleasant shopping arcades. Miidera (三井寺) and Lake Biwa (琵琶湖) are also manageable walks. Otsu is a lovely and underrated city, and this hotel is in a really nice part of the city."
