"What a beautiful property, inside and out! The host / owner was incredibly nice, responsive and helpful. Serene atmosphere, calm & quiet stay, and the animals shown in the pictures are right out back! For colder months, the radiator heating was more than enough. If you'll need access to commerce (stores, restaurants, etc), I'd suggest having a car. Very highly recommend this property, and I look forward to staying again!"

"Top quality food. Steak & Ale pie to die for and excellent fish & chips. Great breakfast with quality produce. Brilliant selection of ales. Old fashioned English Inn with a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Tidy room with a modern en-suite shower room. Bed not to our liking but that's very much a personal choice. In a very quiet location with no shops nearby but would recommend for an overnight stay."

"Holly Cottage was a terrific place to stay. It was so quiet and comfortable. Everything we needed was provided and the internet was amazingly fast if you need to work while traveling. Tim was very responsive but gave us our privacy. The Peaslake Store was just down the road for anything we needed and even carried products from the Coverwood Farm, where Holly Cottage is located. One of my fav places I’ve stayed in. Would highly recommend!"
