Good value B&B

The best value B&B I've found in Inverness. Clean, comfortable and a nice welcoming host. Every other place was asking ridiculous money and Talisker offered a good old fashioned B&B. The noise from the toilet is a bit loud and I was worried about waking the other guests but overall the room was just what was required.

The service was excellent and had great choices at the continental breakfast. Super fast and easy check-in and the owner was easy to reach and to respond. The room was clean and had all the amenities. The property is well situated with ease of walking everywhere downtown Inverness for local attractions and shopping. We would definitely go back.

Recommended

Lovely old house, with appropriate decor and furnishings. Wonderful river view. Friendly helpfull staff on arrival and at breakfast. Private parking ideal for us with a dog sleeping in the car. Bathroom facilities a little bit dated.

Great location!

Talisker was in a great location by the river. The room was nice and pretty comfortable and the owner/staff were very pleasant. My only issue was with the shower! it was impossible to regulate the temperature!

Such a cozy stay in Inverness

Loved our short time here. Such a lovely room with a river view and a short walk to everything we wanted to do. Host was so friendly and breakfast was great. We read that parking was a little tricky - it's just hard to turn into the tight gate from the busy road. We ended up circling around until we were on MacDonald Street and could easily drive straight through the gate with no turning. Would love to stay again for a bit longer next time!

The pathway from the parking area to the back and side of the house is poorly lit. The pathway is not wide enough for this. I stepped too close to the edge of the pathway and my foot slipped off it into the gravel beside it causing my ankle to roll and break. I was six days into an 18 day trip. It's basically ruined the rest of my time in Scotland.

Die Unterkunft war schon sehr alt und die Zimmer wirklich klein. Auch war das Haus sehr hellhörig. Man konnte jede Person im Treppenhaus bestens hören. Unser Bad war leider nicht ganz so sauber. Der Duschkopf war schmutzig und in der Dusche schien Schimmel zu sein. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung, aber nicht super. Gibt halt Toast und weitere Fertigprodukte aus dem Supermarkt (z.B. Pancakes, Wurst, Croissants). Der Inhaber und die Angestellten waren immer sehr nett. Parkplatz ist vorhanden, aber eng und reicht nicht für alle Fahrzeuge aus.

Quaint and Friendly

The Talisker was so quaint and old fashioned. The service was impeccable and the breakfast was very filling. Walking distance to downtown.
