Ischia and Procida Islands Holidays

The hotel is in need of refurbishment and doesn't warrant a 4 star rating as there is nothing special about it. The breakfast was ok, but again there was nothing special about it. There was one choice of cheese and it was the processed 'plastic' type which is not what we expected in Italy. The breads tasted of nothing and the toaster doesn't work unless you want melba toast after a 5 minute wait as the bread was so thin. Plenty of choice of croissants, cake and salad if that's what you like for breakfast. It said there was a shuttle bus to the beach, but this isn't true. We ate dinner on the first night but it was in an uninspiring room and the moment you finished the course, the next one was there in seconds and the food was mediocre. The beach we were told to use is a good 20 minute walk away and comprises of a thin strip of sand and regimented rows of sunbeds, consequently we went once for about 10 minutes, very disappointing. The saving grace of this hotel is the staff

A fantastic location, on the beach, close to the Port and town. The breakfast was amazing. Staff were friendly. I think 4 stars is a stretch, but it served it purpose quite comfortably.

Really nice, genuinely friendly and knowledgable staff, especially the maitre d'. The only thing that lets it down is saying it has full spa facilities; it has many treatment rooms and professional staff, but apart from an outdoor pool and a smaller indoor one, no sauna rooms, experience rooms, foot baths, whirlpool baths or anything like the range of facilities that other **** Terme hotels on the island have (e.g. Parcoverde Terme, in the town of Ischia). We'd rate it 3.5 out of 5 if we could, as it's a lovely place with good staff. Definitely worth the stay, just slightly disappointed at the advertising of a spa when it meant pool!
