"The Morrissey Hotel is in the old Jalan Jaksa area of central Jakarta. Both the hotel and other buildings in this part of Menteng have a distinct 1960s vibe. This vibe has been brought up to date at the renovated Sarinah department store which still sells batik fashion for men and women plus the eye catching arts and crafts. The Morrissey Hotel itself is still good value and provides good coffee, pastries and both ala carte and buffet breakfas. Quieter during the week, Saturday and Sunday brunch can both be busy. If you need laundry done before or over the weekend, be careful to ask if it can be done and returned when you need it."

I an a light sleeper and this like all other hotels I stayed in in Indonesia has no soundproofing. Hence the 4 * rating. Besides that all was great. Better than Mercure which I stayed in later."
