"This is a beautiful hotel, if you enjoy authentic Spanish architecture, classic style rooms, but with modern updates where needed then I would highly recommend you stay here. "The property is close to Madrid Barajas airport, but not walking distance. There is a an airport bus run by the property, but it does not run between 1400-1700 hours. You can take a cab/uber (Euro 20), but I took the 828 city bus direction Madrid (Euro 3) which drops on the main street, walking distance away. The return airport bus run by the property is every 45 minutes beginning at 6am (aside from the aforementioned siesta). The only caveat is that you have to line up 45 minutes beforehand to get the ticket. That’s fine noon, but a pain for the 6 am bus. I would suggest to the property to just let people get their “ticket” upon checkin. Or increase their bus capacity during the busy transfer times. Another positive is there are multiple grocery stores nearby if you’re sick of going out to eat."

"Nice modern, well-maintained hotel that is kept very clean. Super friendly staff happy to help with anything. Superb breakfast with lots of variety plus eggs cooked fresh to order. Try the poached eggs or the omelettes. Oh and the location opposite Atocha station makes it super convenient not only for travel but also its proximity to El Prado, Reina Sofia, Retiro Park, amongst others. Plus dedicated pickup point outside for taxis bolt uber etc. Ignore the mesh outside the windows and the view of the station. That’s secondary as it ticks every box plus more. Otherwise ask for rooms to the rear. Yeah I would happily stay again, and so should you."
