"Had a very enjoyable stay at this property. It was quiet, comfortable, and friendly. A nice boardwalk walk into town, and a great refuge for a few days of quiet by the pool and beach. The property could use modernization: the decor is tired and there was only one electrical outlet in my unit (for toaster, kettle, living room lamp, and phone charging). "Great value deal off-season & mid-week, looks quite new. Amenities & cleanliness actually score closer to 4.5 if more precise, due some nitpicks (at least one was easily fixable). Mountain gives beautiful views - terrace is a great place to eat breakfast/a la carte restaurant meals from (covered for shade). Included breakfast buffet great, totally worth it - choice of fruit/cereals/muesli/cooked breakfast (good), several fruit juices/coffee, milk choices including lactose-free milk ("sem lactose" in Portuguese) as well as other non-dairy "milk"s without a special request. Reception spoke enough/good English. Went extra mile when mentioned was my wife's birthday one evening, came out with a little cake with candles (like a big brownie + pretty, decorative icing), plus left another in our room's fridge. Pools are lovely (though covered outdoor warm one was full of little dark-coloured bits of perhaps the wooden boards around/stuff from between the ridges there). So much across 3 linked blocks (A, B, C) with numerous floors but because of all the corridors & going up/down levels in lifts or stairs to move across them to get to the different facilities, can feel like a rabbit warren. But a well signed one (except one area exiting a lift/stairs I ended up unsure which way to go). Nit-picks: - Missing corkscrew/sharp knives, maid got 1 (said should've had, maybe unchecked between guests). - Hairs on shower wall - Limiting fridge layout (removed shelves for wine/any carton)"

Cozy retreat with pool in Portimão

"Our family stayed at this location for a week. We loved the house - lots of room, very spacious. It was ideal for us to cook meals for our family, as there was only one close restaurant (the Gurkha Kitchen, which was amazing). The grocery store was about a 20 minute walk from the house, so we would walk down, then grab a Bolt to go back up. We used the pool every day, as it was about a 3-5 minute walk from the house. The pool was very clean, and quiet! It was nice and quiet at the house, which was exactly what we needed. The only issue we had was the confusion about the connection between our house and the Oasis Parque. We didn't realize that the front desk of Oasis had no connection to our rental house, so when we inquired about pick up locations for Benagil tours, or restaurant reservations, they didn't know what we were talking about, and told us our rental was not connected to the Oasis Parque, which we didn't know. It wasn't until the end of our week that we realized we were with Algarve vacations, which is separate from the Oasis Parque. Overall we had a wonderful stay, and would stay again!"

"We stayed during September, when temperatures reached the early to mid-30sC.There were a few issues. We found ants on the kitchen work surfaces, so everything had to be kept in the fridge. Insect screens on the windows, and the front door, would be useful.The bed linen wasn't great. White sheets would look much nicer than the coloured, mismatched bedding, which appeared rather tatty. However, the bed was very comfortable.The bedroom air-conditioning unit is noisy, making it difficult to sleep with it switched on. Given the high temperatures, this was a problem. The poolside furniture also needs replacing, as it is worn and some items are broken.A few provisions could be improved. Two bin bags are not enough for a week, while the toilet and kitchen rolls were poor quality. A small welcome pack, perhaps including Monchique water, coffee pods for the machine, and local wine or beer, would be a lovely touch.Despite this, we had a wonderful stay. The house is old, charming and full of character. Kitchen is well equipped. Bathroom shower is excellent. Location is perfect, a few minutes’ drive from Monchique. It is quiet, relaxing and secluded, with outstanding views and a wonderful sense of privacy. The private pool was fabulous and lovely to return to after a day out.We enjoyed evenings on the terrace, barbecuing, stargazing and watching the lizards.Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return. With a few simple improvements this could be an exceptional place to stay."

"This is such a lovely villa in a quiet, beautiful part of Portugal. If you're looking for sleek and modern this won't be for you but if you're looking for rustic charm then you've come to the right place. The villa is quirky and spotlessly clean with a beautiful deep pool and endless fruit-filled gardens. The villa has everything you need and Eulalila was so very helpful. Both coasts are within easy reach by car and there are beautiful walks nearby. We would definitely come back."

L'appartement est très confortable, très bien situé sur la côte. Le balcon, la piscine et la climatisation sont un vrai plus pour la localisation . On recommande !"
