"This is a very nice motel. Friendly staff, very clean and remodeled rooms. I do have a couple negatives: 1) the pool: it is still being remodeled and that should have been advertised! Apparently they just filled it with water the last couple days, but there is still construction. And with the beaches not being swim beaches that much, that was a big disappointment. 2) “Night life”: some fellow neighbors decided to have some loud conversations and smoking weed. We could smell it through the windows that are still the very old tilt glass windows. They did lower their voices after asking them. But later there were more doing the same two things. 3) The coffee creamer is old or simply got hard due to the humidity?!? Never had that in any other motel so far. 4) the lights at night being on in front of the rooms. That is definitely great for people being outside when it’s dark. But if you like sleeping in the dark, that is not happening. Even with the blinds down as they are only paper blinds. Other than that, it was a very nice experience and I would definitely recommend this motel to others!"

"The Condo was spacious, clean, and as described per the photos. The building is a little dated. The pool and the hot tub were very nice! The view from the balcony was lovely! Just a short drive to town and a good location. However, the condo did not smell fresh. We thought it was maybe due to the sargassum that was on the beaches. The elevator that was closest to our unit was not working which made for a very long walk to the other elevator that was working. The hallway was very warm on the inconvenient walk to the elevator. Also, the air flow a/c in the condo was inconsistent. Freezing cold in the bathroom and warm in the bedrooms. Master bath shower did not have a door which if you were not careful water would go everywhere. On a positive note, the condo was stocked with everything that you could need. I would rate it a 5/5 but I’m only giving a 4/5 because of the broken 2nd elevator. Overall, we had a very nice stay at Tom’s Chicken Coop!"
