"The property was disappointing for a Hilton property. It took multiple requests to get an ironing board in the room, and get the room cleaned. It is part of the stay to have the room cleaned but it was not in day one and was not cleaned until almost 6 PM on day two. The pool area routinely had debris around and floating in the pool. The pictures of the property show emerald green waters and clean beaches, this was not our experience. In the room, there were pieces tile missing from the floor in a few areas and on the building exterior, peeling paint was readily visible. On a positive note, the staff was friendly, including the great valet staff."

"Loved the close proximity to walk to the popular Duvall street for shopping and dining. The bathroom was huge!! Upgraded bathroom fixtures and tile. Great water pressure. Adjustable temperature A/C unit which was cold that I chose to turn up. Comfortable plush mattress, though the bed squeaked a little bit getting in and out. The hotel is putting in a small pool in their courtyard which will improve the look of the hotel. I traveled far from West Palm to Key West so I ended up staying 2 nights at Seashell. On my first day I went to Fort Zachary and loved the location of the park grounds and beautiful beach cove. Had fun swimming in the clear warm water! Popular for snorkeling and there are rock clusters in the water to climb on.which is a short swim. Make sure you walk around the fort on your visit which is adjacent to the beach. What great history it holds. I actually googled the purpose of this fort which is super interesting. After leaving Fort Zachary, I decided to drive by Smathers and Higgs beaches to compare. For me, there’s no question….if you want to have a great beach day with family in a beautiful setting, go to Fort Zachary. The 2 other beaches are not scenic and are right off the main street. Water is murky and for me (kind of a beach snob) I would not go to these beaches. A great visit to Key West. Next time, I’d like to take more time on visiting the beaches & state parks along the way to KW. Enjoy!"
