Talbot stay.
Overnight stay re grt grandchild's 2nd birthday. Roo. Comfortable and clean. Excellent breakfast. Friendly service. On reflection as heating doesn't come pn till 10.00pm an extra blanket would have been welcome.

Excellent value B&B
Hotel has character and looks dated. However, it is excellent value! My twin room was comfortable, large and with an updated, modern shower. Evening meal not served on a Sunday (day of my stay) since lunch is served 2-5pm. Breakfast was excellent. Staff welcoming and helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Unusual little quirks to the property. Staff friendly and polite. Breakfast was served hot and cooked well. Only downside is the fact that the shower had mould and a musty smell. Could do with a good clean. Some of the paintwork on the wall in one of the rooms was chipped and ceiling where it had been repaired need a coat of paint. But overall a lovely little hotel.

Staff were lovely and very accommodating, breakfast was delish (full English) served with a smile. However the room I was in needed a good spring clean, bedding I could not fault, but needed a really good hoover, wall wiped down where tea/coffee facilities were and the shower tiles given a good scrub down. In perspective though for a B&B in a beautiful village for that price it was a bargain.

We had a great weekend. The hotel was a great base for visiting lots of attractions, we went to the Severn Valley Railway and Ironbridge Victorian Town museum. The landlord, Nick, does a great job and goes out of his way to be helpful. The staff are all friendly and efficient. The room we had, although compact, have everything you need. The bed was very comfortable. We felt like we were well accepted in a local village pub and made friends with the regulars, including Byron, the dog. We ate in there twice in the evenings, great pub food, very hearty portions. The breakfast was very good. Altogether a great weekend, we will definitely return.

Quick weekend getaway
A fantastic find in a delightful little country town surrounded by beautiful countryside. Hosts were very welcoming and helpful and happily recommended other places to eat that evening as the kitchen was closed when we arrived. Proper pub inside as well with great beers and cider on pump. Would happily stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay. The building has lots of history which the owner was very knowledgeable. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and the breakfast excellent using locally sourced products. We definitely recommend this hotel

Severn Fishing Break
Perfect break for fishing on the river Severn. Nicely located in a charming village. Hosts were very welcoming, food & drink excellent. Good value for money.

A comfortable nights stay
Good customer service on arrival at reception. Room was fine and clean, the only thing I would pick up on was that when I went to empty the water out the kettle for morning coffee, the previous occupants had made coffee inside the kettle?? A bit more prompt service/acknowledgement at Breakfast would have been good but the young lady was pleasant enough when she got around to me and the breakfast was really nice.

The landlord / manager was very friendly. Unfortunately, the Talbot (which is a pub and hotel) is attached to a noisy pub to the back, and is on the town's highstreet so very noisy on a Friday and Saturday night. The pub also smelt of smoke - and although the rooms were smoke free, the smell was in the rooms and corridors meaning we went away with smelly clothes and bags.

Lovely base from which to discover Sth. Shropshire
Nice and cosy place in an interesting small town; well kept and comfortable rooms. On main road, so ask for one of back rooms if you need a quieter night. Beer was well kept and from a very local brewery. We ate elsewhere on our two evenings (no food Mondays), so sadly missed trying their well-recommended pies out! Lovely staff/hosts.

A pleasant stop over
Very pleasant stay. The staff were extremely pleasant and attentive. We ate there in the evening and the food was good as was the lovely breakfast in the morning. You filled out a form the previous evening stating what time you would be down for breakfast and what you would like to eat and drink. On arrival at our table, our chosen juices were already set out in small jugs as we're the pkt of cereal if chosen. A nice touch I think. There are a few other pubs and places to eat in the village and a couple of shops to browse.

Lovely place and the service I received was excellent. The only thing which could be improved was for the room to have a chair( any type will do). I stay away approx 150 nights a year and hate having to sit on the bed all evening. But other than that the hotel is excellent in both service and value for money.

This cosy 16th century hotel as friendly staff, good food at good prices rooms were very clean. There was parking around the back of the hotel 10/10. I have nothing bad to say about it.

The Talbot hotel - One to re-visit.
A small but charming 15th century coaching in, spotlessly clean and comfortable rooms. The staff are very good and friendly, and the food excellent, all of the above come at a very reasonable price.

The hotel is old with quirky rooms, ie sloping floors and creaky stairs. Very welcoming staff and good food. We ate dinner and breakfast there. Very handy to stay here to be family but the whole area is wonderful to explore.

Although busy in the bar when we arrived the staff were attentive and showed us to our rooms. Beds were comfortable and rooms and ensuites were clean and well stocked. If you are taller than average please note that a fair amount of ducking required when walking round the older sections of the building.

Talbot Hotel
The hotel was fantastic and the staff brilliant they couldn't have been more helpful. Food was excellent. The village was lovely. The only thing is it's not in Kidderminster and we don't drive and it cost us a lot of money for taxis over the Xmas period as it's 12 miles from kidderminster. Hotel fantastic
