Stopped in am to tell us to get our umbrella out as it was about to rain, desk person was very very clear about 20% discount for my Expedia rack, where don't coffee/tea, kept something h ing cold for me. "This is a lovely hotel in a beautiful village, on arrival we were upgraded from a room to a suite, which was a nice surprise. The staff were all superb and the food was very good, we ate there on the evening of arrival and again on our last evening as the weather was too awful to venture outdoors. The breakfast was excellent. It is interesting to note that although the hotel dates from the late 1700s, making it one of the oldest hotels in Ireland, it is beautifully maintained. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again."

"Room was modest but fine. Fan was essential since no AC, but cooled things off well with window open. Pillows on beds were quite hard/not fluffy, so replacing them would be a good upgrade. Only real complaint was not with room but with reservations system: we wanted to shorten our 8-day stay by one night (in advance, not on arrival) and doing so would have been MORE expensive than just sticking with our original reservation. I didn’t understand why that should be, as we had to pay for the first night even though we didn’t arrive until the next day."
