"This hotel gets 4star because of the creaking noise from wooden floor as someone walks. It probably reflects the century old construction! But otherwise it’s been a pleasant stay. Be prepared to expect a very very .. remote building out of nowhere! The nearest habitable building is few miles away which is the Shap town!"

"We had such a lovely stay at Langley Castle Hotel. The staff were genuinely warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived and made the whole experience feel really special. We stayed in the Percy Room, which was full of charm and character while still being very comfortable. Staying in an actual castle was such a unique experience. We also loved walking the nearby trails and grounds — it was peaceful and beautiful, especially in the evening. Dinner at the hotel was excellent, with great food and a really nice atmosphere, and breakfast the next morning was just as enjoyable. Overall, it was a memorable stay and somewhere we’d happily return to"

"Outside of the building looks grand and staffs are friendly. However, the room is small & bathroom is even smaller. Your leg can easily burn by the towel rail when you sit on the toilet. The elbows constantly either hit the shower door or the control switch. That’s how small it is. There is no direct access to the breakfast restaurant from the hotel because it’s in a out building. There is a bar in the hotel but probably only used for the wedding party. Overall is a good wedding venue but it’s not good value for a tourist in my opinion. For a small basic room like this you can paid £50 less somewhere nearby and will have a fridge in the room."

"We loved our brief stay! Perfect for a stopover on the long drive from Sussex to Scotland. Ideally situated and clean with friendly staff and great facilities. The restaurant food was excellent, too - we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. Our children loved their bunk beds in our room! Will almost certainly visit again."
