Dear Peter We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your stay. We do try to make sure on all sites any restrictions there are regarding bar & food service, so our Guests know what to expect. I do believe drinks were organised for you and sent to your room. I feel all our rooms seem a little "basic" at the moment as we have had to remove so many things from them due to Covid, transmission, etc, for our Guests' safety. Dear Mrs Philips We are so sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy all aspects of your stay with us. I am genuinely shocked to read that the whole hotel smelt of cigarettes as there has been a smoking ban in place for many years prohibiting this in ALL public areas. Service was a little slow on your first night as all our Guests decided to appear at the same time, my apologies. We will look into your comments regarding the bed in this room., although all the mattresses in the main building were changed the latter part of last year. Best regards T. Cressingham

Dear Ms Ann I am so sorry to see you didn't enjoy your stay with us. We do work very hard to give our Guests a good experience so I am frustrated to see you weren't happy and will pass on your comments to my housekeeper. I am not sure about the "front door" which is only locked through the night but you are provided with an alternative exit/entrance during that time. We must admit we are confused by your review, having asked you multiple times if everything was to your liking during your stay and also again when you telephoned after you checked out, enquiring about lost property. On all occasions you replied that you enjoyed your stay and was happy. We are saddened that you didn't come to us direct as we could have moved you to another room. We have had our maintenance team address the issues you pointed out and thank you for bringing them to our attention.
