Tranquil location set amongst the beautiful Cheshire countryside close to knutsford and lower peover and tatton park I was satisfied with the food and selection on the menu

Nice hotel and convenient

Room was very spacious and well equipped. I arrived a little late for food and even though the kitchen was closed they did offer to make sandwiches and chips for me which was a nice gesture. Would like to stay again as menu looked awesome.

We will be back.

Nice comfortable stay breaking up a long journey. Staff and locals were friendly and helpful. Had a great evening meal by the fire, a comfortable night and a good breakfast. Will definitely stay there again.

The staff members were so amazingly helpful and friendly. As a solo traveler with a cane I struggle with stairs and excessive walking but the staff helped me to my room when I arrived and Katen even helped we all the way to the train platform across the way when I left. While this location is remote the charm and guality mke it a beautiful destination stay and the food was to die for. I had one minor issue in my room and they resolved it while I was out so 5/5

Lovely location have family live in Northwich so nice place to meet up. Came for a family occasion in Sale so didn't feel it was too far away from everyone and I prefer a country setting to stay in . Perfect for us .

Nicely kitted out and very spacious.

Nice staff, very friendly, room was veey spacious including the bathroom. We liked the decor, but the smell feom the bathroom was awful, definite needs addressing. Has ev charge points, nice location. Would stay again but smell is a bit off putting.

A very pleasant stay! Lovely large room and the bar and restaurant was great. Comfortable bed and good shower. They even made me food after the kitchen was closed. Only negative was the mini single use plastic shower gels and shampoos. Refillable soap and shampoo dispensers would make it perfect!

Happy to recommend.

Good hotel, ideally located for a weekend with local family near Knutsford. Hotel exterior well presented Big car park /free parking. I had a large and well presented room (Room 1) which was quiet with rural views (beyond the bins !). It and the bathroom were spotlessly clean. Good quality linen and toiletries. Suggestions: - Better bedside lighting - A luggage stand and a waste paper basket in the bedroom would be helpful - Stronger and more focused lighting above the bathroom basin. - Resiting glass shelf above basin which currently loses a hazard. Excellent breakfast with good choice of options. Eggs Royal excellent. Staff friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel worked well for me and I would be happy to return.

Check in and first night hospitality was excellent. Welcoming,quiet and cozy atmosphere by the wood fire. Easy conversation with other guests with great tips on local points of interest. We slept well all 3 nights. Some concerns, breakfast is 7-9 prepaid the day before, so we opted in the first morning which we didn't do again as, there was one server for the whole dining room. At 8am, there was little left of the continental offerings and my Benedict was stone cold from the kitchen.

Beautiful location and beer garden. Rooms were ok but very tiered, in need of a freshen up and dragging out if the 1980's. Please remove the horrible net curtains, they are filthy! Apart from the room, everything else was lovely. Brilliant service from all staff members, check in was friendly and all bar and waiting on staff were wonderful.

The staff are very helpful and polite, unfortunately the room is clean but tired, comfortable but not as advertised on the website when we booked no walk-in shower either. The evening meal was very nice and good selection again staff very friendly and helpful. The noise was from the road at the front as we needed the window open

Nice pub with great food

The hotel was good overall and the food/drink and service was amazing. However, the bed in our room was really hard so we didn't get a good night's sleep on either of our two nights there. The windows in the room also didn't appear to open so we couldn't get any fresh air in. This would be more of a problem if it was really warm outside. Finally, the photos of the bathroom are a little deceiving as we didn't get a walk in shower. Instead we had a shower over the bath (it was still a good, warm, powerful shower though). The EV charger on site was a great bonus and worked flawlessly.
