Learn more about Lacoste

Perched on a hilltop, this medieval village offers panoramic views of lavender fields and the ruins of Marquis de Sade's castle. Explore the cobblestone streets lined with art galleries, then ask locals about their favourite nearby vineyards for afternoon wine tastings.

The ruined chateau atop this town once belonged to the Marquis de Sade, but is now owned by Pierre Cardin. We visited on a particularly spooky day, but the Cafe de France was a welcoming sight.
