"Nice hotel , nice garden with places to sit in among the ducks. Clean rooms . Bit unsure on how to get into the model village on site , no information on it anywhere. Got to the gate only to find you needed a ticket from reception which is a good way back up hill so didn’t bother. Sign at reception would have been a good idea. Lovely receptionist when we checked in but the one in the morning was so miserable, never smiled and just seemed like she didn’t want to be there . Having said that would definitely stay again , comfortable hotel"

"Excellent central location. The staff were helpful especially in reception and spa. The dining staff were efficient but less cheerful than one might expect in an establishment like this. Breakfast was plentiful but uninspiring. Luggage drop off was difficult due to heavy vehicles blocking the hotel entrance. The plumbing made a loud vibrating noise for 10 minutes after each toilet flush. The shower had excellent pressure and hot water. The room mini fridge had the internal light hanging down and the fridge didn’t appear to work. The hotel has old world charm and despite the small foibles mentioned above is a good accommodation option."

"Beautiful setting and well maintained restaurant and common areas. Breakfast was great! Rooms were very clean - our only complaint is the lack of air conditioning even though there was a unit in the room it wasn’t unusable. It was 30 degrees making the room unbearable. The windows also didn’t open properly and had to be propped open with glasses. Otherwise it was a beautiful hotel and we would stay again."
