Great spot to stay
Great spot to stay in Lancaster and have stayed twice in the last four week. The evening meals are excellent as is the evening service. the food at breakfast is also great but the service at breakfast time on both occasions as been a bit slow and not really attentive

Great stay again. Staff so friendly and welcoming. Evening meal and breakfast delicious. Fresh milk and handmade shortbread for room nice touch. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Lancaster.

Hotel with a lot of character. Ideal for a very relaxing stay. Some very nice touches that display a bit of thought, eg provided a small flask of fresh milk on arrival, making for much nicer in-room tea & coffees than with the usual little plastic tubs.

We booked two rooms for our family not knowing what to expect (we were coming to visit a local University). After a long drive, we arrived and we greeted by friendly and helpful staff then were able to have a lovely meal in the restaurant. Breakfast was very good as well. Atmosphere was relaxed, decor was classy yet made you feel comfortable. My teenage daughter said the whole place had a great ‘vibe’.

Such a nice conversion from an old taxation building into a lovely, small hotel with full pub on the ground floor. Clean, spacious, excellent breakfast and overall pub experience in the evening. Close to everything but the University (which is close to nothing)! My second stay, will come again.

We had a lovely stay here, the rooms were very comfortable and staff very friendly and attentive. We also ate in the restaurant which had a good choice and was reasonably priced.

Great staff; change the sausages; extractor fans need cleaning in bathrooms mine had been switched off; maybe a small fridge in the rooms would be beneficial- can’t reiterate how good the staff where; all staff where brilliant.

Have stayed here many times since daughter went to Uni and eventually stayed in Lancaster 12 years ago. Always clean and comfortable and right in the city center. Excellent restaurant in bar and friendly staff. A well run hotel.
