"Seaside retreat is well situated for visiting family in Ardrossan. It is close to the seafront to access the ferry to Millport and surrounding Ayrshire coast. The flat was in a quiet location with suitable parking. The interior is beautiful, homely and comfortable, especially the sofa. The bedrooms are spacious with lovely comfortable beds. The host was easy to contact and very helpful. Excellent value! "

"Room was basic. Shower in the room, with a door, sink in room, toilet was basically a cupboard with no ventilation, quite claustrophobic. Bunk bed over the top of double bed. Windowsill had black marks where it looked like it had been burnt or someone tried to light it. Floor had pen scribbles on the floor. Outside aesthetics not great. Walls pretty thin so could hear lots of noises in corridors in the morning. Bedding and towels very clean. Bed was surprisingly comfy and choice of two soft and two hard pillows. Had a great sleep. Just don't think the hotel was worth the money"

"The room had a stunning view over the River Clyde and it was a delight to watch the sunset. The room was great, with a clean, king size bed. My only qualms with the room was that there was a moth in the bathroom upon arrival and there was no rail for the hand towel (only one hook on the back of the bathroom door for the bath towel). The walls are quite thin. I could hear my next door neighbour opening their wardrobe, running the water, and flushing the toilet. Despite that, I would stay here again as it’s very handy for attending events at the OVO Hydro, and well connected with a train station just over the road. It’s also a nice 30 minute stroll along the river into the centre for the shops, or a lovely 20+ minute walk up to explore the west end of Glasgow."

"Our ‘Apartment’ room was very spacious with a nice brick wall feature. The room had a small kitchen area with a useful mini fridge and it also had a microwave and air fryer. However oddly there were no plates or cutlery so making those appliances somewhat redundant if you actually wanted to use them to cook something. If we’d wanted to sit at the small breakfast bar there were no seats/stools to use at the bar which would be useful. The room featured two large TVs and sofa seating. The bed was a standard size double (as advertised), but we felt there was a missed opportunity to fit a larger size bed which would better suite the ‘apartment’ offering as an enhancement adding extra value. Whilst there were plenty of plug sockets around the room, there were no sockets beside or near the bed, so when using your phone as an alarm it has to sit on the other side of the room which isn’t ideal. The room is highlighted as ‘soundproofed’ however we were kept awake through to 2am due to a lot of noise (banging, heavy footsteps) from the floor above and during the next day this noise even sounded like furniture was being dragged around so this unfortunately meant we didn’t have the best nights sleep. The bathroom featured a bath/shower and was nice and clean. Overall a reasonable stay, but we did feel let down somewhat where a little thought and attention to detail in what is provided would go a long way to enhance the facilities."

"I expected a little more for my £156 a night. Corridor carpet was taped where it had worn, room was noisy from main road outside (take ear plugs), shower took ages to warm up. The staff on reception could be a little more engaging. I got a perfunctory "We need a credit card against the room; here's your room keycard; you're on the first floor. However, the bed was very comfy and the hotel is in an ideal westend location."
