"The Capital Plaza Hotel was an excellent place to stay. The location to historic downtown Frankfort was perfect- it is just a short walk to the middle of the downtown with plenty to eat & drink. The hotel is across the street from a scenic trail if you want to take a stroll. They are renovating so it will be even better in the future. The parking garage is behind the hotel & open 24/7. The only thing that I might have an opinion about is the view. You have to be pretty high up to get a view of the river or the city so don't expect anything spectacular on that point. "

"Tv in bedroom wasn’t set up, however front desk had maintenance come to set it up and they were very quick and professional. "

"We’ve stayed here many times in the past and always had a good experience. This time we were in a different type of room (224) and while spacious, the beds were terribly uncomfortable. Other than that, breakfast is always A+++. Lots of food and beverages choices, pre-made and cooked to order. Pancakes are our personal favorite. The chef this time was friendly, fast and food was delicious! The staff in the breakfast area was super sweet and kept everything well picked up in between patrons. Check in was easy and the hotel is always clean and well maintained. Time to get new mattresses though!"

"My only complaint is the pillows. The bed pillows were more like little couch pillows. Bring your own!"

"Our room overlooked a nasty trash filled roof -kept heavy blinds closed. I feel the bathtub/shower was quite unsafe - it is so narrow and slippery. I also rinsed it out before stepping into it - looked like sand/pebbles in it. The beds are comfortable (except my short older friend had trouble climbing in to bed due to height of bed). The pillows were quite lumpy. The room was clean, the staff ok, and the breakfast was good. Good location, for the $ (had a suite), I would probably come back for an overnight stay (2 nights stay this trip)."

"The front desk staff and valets were top notch, professional and friendly. Rooms were somewhat dated, but clean overall, except for the lower shelves of the bathroom vanity which was dirty and dusty, including the hairdryer. The pool area was very nice and clean, and our little ones had a good time there. The huge seling point for this hotel is it's being connected to the Rupp Center. I would definitely stay here for any event I was attending at the Rupp Center. The breakfast bar had a good selection, but ridiculous price. We have received breakfast bars that were just as good and with just as much variety for free at cheaper hotels in large cities. $26.00 per person is way too much. As well, when I tipped my waitress, she did not bring my change back and I had given a 20% tip."
