Great hotel, rooms and beds are perfect for family stays. Street parking was available every time we arrived in the evening. Breakfast was also great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was great to get around for site seeing. Only thing that I can say is that the room it self is dated, could use new floors and maybe updating the bathroom. The family and I only spent the nights here for sleeping as our primary reason to visit was for sightseeing Lisbon and taking it all in. I would recommend this hotel to others.

There were teenage girls on a school trip in rooms 315 ans 317. We were 311. The were yelling and jumping around and screaming. I tried talking to the teacher, it didn’t work. I went to the front desk, the noise stopped around midnight the first night’s. Second night, same thing. The front desk went up with noise lasting past midnight. Third night, another client went to the rooms and screamed at them then told the front desk. No sleep before midnight then a group came back from partying at 5 am. Short night. The heat in our room broke so we had a portable heater. The tub was so high that I couldn’t get in to take a shower. The tiny window was at the back where all the air conditioners and the pigeons nests were. The water damage in the bathroom door was bad. This place would barely qualify as a youth hostel. I asked them for a different room with a shower. The answer was no. The staff should have been dealing with the noise by either moving us or them. They refused. We just cancelled our next stay there for April. We left so tired and frustrated. We’ve been Expedia clients for 20 years. You should change their rating until they renovate and treat the customers with respect.

Good Hotel
Good location, the receptionist Pablo was really friend, gave us a good customer service and also good tips where to go in Lisbon. We had a really nice sleeps there and the area we felt safe.

Hotel is closed to Marques de Pombal, easy to metro. Booked a triple room for 2 travelers was spacious enough. Bathroom is smaller compare to US. Breakfast was nice. Staff are friendly. Building is a bit older but renovations done can be spotted. Overall our 2 nights stay was good and will stay again.

Room was fine. Plenty of beds and clean linen. Noisy at night and construction work going on around hotel which was not aware of. Also, in bathroom ceiling that had a piece of plasterboard screws in to fill it, but not been plastered over. Breakfast was nice and plenty of it. Would stay again as did the job.

My complaints: 1) we booked a double bed and they gave us a room with two twin beds. 2) One of the two beds had a mattress so bad we couldn't sleep on, so we asked to be moved to another room. 3) the bathroom stunk. 4) The new room was inconvenient, with no night lamp and no night tables. 5) Breakfast was not up to standards (comparing to other hotels in Portugal we have been to): stale bread, bad coffee, sugary juices (not from fruit), etc.

Probably the worst 3 stars hotel I have been. I got into a room at a lower standard than the one I saw on Expedia during booking. The hotel blamed Expedia for it. The employee at reception was nice to book me into another room the next day, but wasted me the first day of my holiday. Breakfast was horrible, I had to go out to a coffee shop. The bathroom was very small, looked like a plane bathroom. If you have no other option than booking a room here, be prepare to complain as you may not get what you booked. Again, the receptionist was a great guy, he made a difference.

The location is secure and nice, walking distance to many attractions. Moreover, the personnel were very hospitable and friendly. For instance, they helped me storying my luggages before check in and after check out. Nevertheless, my room didn’t match with the pictures. Although my room was always clean, it was extremely small, including an awful distribution of the toilet. Plus, the main door of the room didn’t close properly.

I'm sorry to say this place was a dump. It was hot (no A/C), run down, and my room stunk badly of sewer gases. I kept the door to the bathroom closed and the window open. Location was pretty good but I won't be back.

I traveled alone for a few days. The hotel staff was amazing and the room was clean. The building is old and you could see that (roof was leaking, elevators didn't sometimes work). Room was good though, only minus was the bed. It was way too hard to sleep on and I woke up with pain every morning. Pillows were good and the area was calm, great location! If it wasn't for the bed I would rate this hotel much higher, overall it was very good for the price.

Didn’t think this types of hotels still existed.
Very outdated hotel. Small room with no room to move around. No ceiling light and only 1 small wall lamp was working all rest not functioning. 1 socket so no way to charge 2 phone at same time and have to use same socket as for the light. Water leaking from the ceiling in the night. And breakfast very Spartan - choice of scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs.

Location is good. The hotel staff is very attentive, however, the cleaning, breakfast and general conditions of the place are very bad. Would not stay in this place again. I advise everyone who is looking for something to check it out well beforehand.

Great stay...
Great location. Large bathroom. The furniture is dated but very comfortable with a king size bed. Very clean, maid service everyday, fresh Towels and bed linen. All staff very friendly and helpful.I was concerned after booking this hotel with all the negative reviews on several websites, but was pleasantly surprised. Very good value for money for any city break

The hotel is an older property and rooms do not have more than one outlet to charge phones etc. Very inconvenient. The daily breakfast menu never changes. It is set up to cater to large ( and noisy!) groups who pack their lunch off the buffet as well. By day 3 we decided to pass on the free breakfast and go buy something else close by. Don’t expect to borrow an iron, they want you to use their expensive laundry service. Don’t hesitate to request for a change in room if you get assigned a tiny, stale smelling room . Providing an Expedia review within an hour of check in got us an immediate response to our concerns and a change in room by the next afternoon. The location is excellent, and the staff tried to be as pleasant and helpful as they could.

This Hotel is old, dirty and terrible. It was very expensive for kind of hotel it is. The bathroom was from the 1960s with a dirty curtain and tile broken shower. There was a filthy sofa in the room and old, old furniture. The only positive was the very good location and that we were able to park our car in front of the property. I do not recommend it.

Small bathroom
Bathroom was very small. Shower stall doors were difficult to close. There was no soap dish in the shower. Bathroom door couldn't be fully opened because the night stand was in the way.
