We stayed for two days to watch the Cambrian Rally a 30 minute drive away.
As reported by other Sam is very welcoming and friendly and gave us a good idea of what shops, restaurants and pubs where nearby. Sam helping with our bags up to our room.
However, after the initial welcome Sam withdrew to his part of the house. We planned on takeaway, but on checking with Sam he informed that he did ask not to bring food in to the bedroom due to the smell. No offer was made to eat elsewhere.
We were out before the 8am start of breakfast on the first day, but no offer was made to leave anything out and as the breakfast is free there is no right to ask for a refund.
We can say that the breakfast on the second day was excellent and service as well.
We did like the quirkiness of the building.
A few things that left us a little disappointed.
the size of the room
the cleanliness.
The bed is not a king size.
The bathroom floor and carpet had not been cleaned when it was obvious to us the dirt on it the first day we arrived.
On checking out Sam was busy with other guests, so we did not the issues.
For those worried about 5 parking spaces on premise, free on street parking is nearby.
For the price we felt the room was expensive and would there not return, unless the price had lowered
