"Enjoyable stay"

"The hotel is a little tired but it is spotlessly clean & the location & ease of walking to Cardiff Bay restaurants is great. In addition, what makes the hotel excellent is the staff. Jacques at check in was very helpful & Loretta at breakfast was fantastic but all staff we encountered were great. Fantastic early morning swim & delicious breakfast too. Great hotel - would definitely recommend! "

"Lots of bars, restaurants and shops right outside the hotel. Great bar, Browns, within the hotel too. St Davids shopping mall a stones throw away. Millenium Stadium max 10-15mins walk away."

"All the staff were very friendly and everywhere was clean and tidy. If you were later than 09.00 am for breakfast, the choice was not so good than if you had turned up earlier, that was our feeling. The Saturday evening meal was not totally satisfactory because there was not enough staff and we booked a table at 20.30 but did not eat until 21.45. The server did his best but was over powered with the demands of trying to keep up with the orders. Maybe the kitchen staff were understaffed as well. On Sunday morning breakfast we heard staff saying we have no more cutlery left . If Saturday night is the busiest dining night, then adequate staff should be available. We were very tolerant and could have made a big fuss and refused to pay for the service we received, however we felt sorry for the person involved who was trying to cope under difficult circumstances "

"Total stay experience was wonderful. The staff is exceptionally helpful and accommodating. The hotel location is central to and walkable for everything (castle, shopping, restaurants, etc), plus is clean and well maintained. The room is easily accessible, comfortable, and located within the hotel for a quiet stay. "

"Birthday weekend trip, had a lovely birthday treat in the room waiting The room was nice and big Separate bath and shower is nice and mini fridge The shower leaked a bit so soaks bathroom floor which was only annoyance of the room We used the gym and pool A family allowed their young children in/out the steam room which I felt was not appropriate as letting all the steam out but no staff around to report. Reception staff were lovely and welcoming We had G&T at the bar and the bar staff were friendly and enthusiastic Overall a really nice stay "
