"Staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast has many options and kept up well, location is perfect for hiking and other activities in the area, parking was very easy, the room was a bit tight on space but all the other positive things made this not a problem. "

I called ahead of closing and the staff were so lovely, helpful and understanding about our situation and figured out a solution for us. Pool and sauna is open 24/7 and the can also book massages at the desk on check in."

Our room was large and updated. We did have a challenge figuring out all of the electronics to get the lights on and shades closed."

"Very much a vintage hotel experience. I had an excellent mountain view, which I was able to enjoy from bed every morning. The cleaning crew were efficient and very good. The staff was very helpful with planning alternative hikes. I chose to walk the 800m from the train station, which for me was very doable. However, I am very fit and this may not be an option for everyone. The breakfast buffet was very good. I also had dinner at the hotel restaurant, Nico's, which was excellent. It was my best dining experience in Kandersteg and during my stay in Switzerland. The spa was small, but clean and very relaxing. I highly recommend staying here and would absolutely re-visit if I come back to Switzerland. "
