Lovely staff.

Staff were very helpful and gave us a warm welcome. This was the same at breakfast and in the evening. Our room however was a little tired. New pillows needed. The bathroom was divided into two ‘cupboard ‘ type arrangements. Rather odd . The outside lighting which came on late In the evening lit the room quite brightly when trying to sleep. Perhaps it could be adjusted or relocated away from the window. Breakfast was very good. Once again Staff were lovely. Very good value for money for a short stay.

Nice quiet country location.

Stayed here whilst visiting Nottingham Lovely quiet location, nice big room with a huge bed, fab breakfast and ate in the restaurant both nights, really nice food and good ale! Staff were super too, very friendly.

I stayed in the French Room - a very spacious bedroom with bath in the en suite. The room was very clean and well presented with Sky TV as an added bonus. I also enjoyed the use of a great coffee machine and some amazing biscuits were provided too. Friendly staff greeted us in the bar downstairs and breakfast was absolutely splendid. I will be staying here again next time I am in the area.

Great visit - highly recommend

Really lovely place with friendly staff. Great breakfast and we had a delicious dinner one night in the restaurant. The room was a bit cold (even with the heater) which was our only minor complaint. Will definitely stay here again and would recommend

Great pub accommodation

Fantastic discovery and a great location for anyone on business in this area (car required). The hospitality and friendliness of the staff was second to none and the evening meal (steak) was beautiful. The landlady even gave us a lift to an event we were attending in a nearby village. Great selection of beers. Rooms were spotless and quirky. Will definitely be back.

We loved it

We loved it so much we changed our plans and stayed 2 nights. Lovely village pub, great evening meal, super breakfast. Loved the home made shortbread in the room for supper.

Amazing room, friendly staff and good food.

The room was amazing. Massive, with a huge bed and a really nice country feeling decor. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and although I didn’t eat in the restaurant it looked amazing. I ate in the bar (different menu) but it was still very good pub food. Good for some time in the country, and excellent value for money.

Warm welcome, excellent service!

Outstanding service. I particularly liked the breakfast and attention given by staff. Perhaps a note next the TV or remote controls to advise how to get to the sky channels. Lovely and clean with good tea/coffee facilities in the room. Will definitely stay there again!

Outstanding friendly accommodation and food

Absolutely amazing stay, cannot recommend enough. Fabulous service and attention to detail throughout. Breakfast was outstanding and sandwiches on arrival where a great touch. Room was immaculate, very spacious with a huge comfortable bed.

Lovely restaurant
