"We stayed on the 7th floor and had a stunning view of the castle. The front desk staff were all very helpful. The room was very clean. It was well located for all of our walking needs with bus stations nearby when we wanted to be out of the cold"

"We stayed four days here. The good: the staff is very friendly, it's very convenient to the train station, the big tour bus stop, the airport bus stop, and both Old Town and New Town. The bad, there is only one working lift and it's very slow. The bed was lumpy, the furniture was worn, the shower door does not seal properly (water runs all over the floor."

"Excellent hotel and location in Grassmarket. Easy walk to restaurants and site. Could see the Edinburgh from our window. Only disadvantage was the king bed was up against the wall and one of us (me) had to shimmy through a narrow space past the end of bed and windows, then I had to crawl from the end of the bed to my pillow. Glad I'm a limber and flexible 75 year old. Just made it difficult for my nightly trips to the toilet from all the beer! Except for the bed (which by the way was comfortable) we would book again with a different room."
