"Our room was lovely and spacious, and quiet! Check-in was delightful, and we quickly got to know all of the incredibly hard-working staff, who greet you with a tremendous smile no matter how many long hours they have worked. The pools were spectacularly clean and there was plenty of nice chaise lounges for everyone both poolside and beachside. If you couldn’t find one, the helpful staff would take care of you. The food was the best I have ever, ever had at an all inclusive resort. Plenty of freshly grilled dishes every day and so many choices. I am celiac, so this could have been a major concern for me, yet every single dish is marked with all allergens so you never had to wonder. I didn’t have a single reaction to the food during our entire week stay, which is a testament to the great quality and care they put into making such wonderful food. We were sad to leave, felt like we left with many new Egyptian friends, and truly hope to come back again as soon as we can. I should note that we came all the way from Canada as part of a multi-stop trip, so this should tell you how much we enjoyed our time there! "

"Stunning view and exceptional service, but maintenance and food need urgent attention I recently stayed at your resort and I have very mixed feelings about my experience. There were highlights that made the trip special, but also some disappointments that hindered the overall quality. The Highlights: First and foremost, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Amir for his professional handling of our check-in and for providing us with a free room upgrade, which we truly appreciated. Also, a special shout-out to Irene from the Concierge team. She was beyond excellent—handling all our trip arrangements and securing our a la carte restaurant reservations with such efficiency and a friendly attitude. The resort itself is visually stunning. The landscaping is top-notch, and the Aqua Park, Lazy River, and pools are fantastic. The beach is breathtaking, and the snorkeling directly from the shore was one of the best parts of our stay. Areas for Improvement: Unfortunately, the dining experience did not match the beauty of the resort. The food quality was poor and lacked variety, which significantly impacted our enjoyment. Additionally, we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the linens and towels, which was not up to the expected standard. We also noticed some clear signs of "cost-cutting" that felt out of place in such a high-end location. * Maintenance: The air conditioning in the room was faulty; the temperature remained constant regardless of the settings. "Xanadu Makadi Bay has the worst management I have ever experienced. After a 15-hour flight with two children, the reception and manager were completely disrespectful and unprofessional. They demanded an extra $450 even though my reservation was correct and my children’s ages were entered properly. When I asked for help contacting Expedia to confirm the booking, they refused and left me to handle everything on my own. Instead of showing hospitality, they caused stress and humiliation at the very start of our vacation. This hotel’s management clearly does not care about guests, fairness, or basic respect. I would never return and strongly advise others to avoid this property"
