Balcony makes this place amazing.
This is my second stay at Hostal Palmaria. The rooms are quite basic with a wardrobe unit, fridge, stool and beds but it has everything you need. The beds are very comfortable, the air con is fantastic and the bathroom has a good shower. The crowning feature of this hotel is the view from the balcony. It is simply stunning. Chairs, table and even a clothes line are provided on the balcony. Its the perfect spot to watch the sun set from with a chilled drink in hand. The only negative I would say is that hand soap is not provided, so bring some. Breakfast is not included. Its a simple breakfast but perfectly adequate though I'd give the machine coffee a miss! I would stay here again in a heart beat as the balcony and the view is one of the nicest on the island.

The service was excellent and it’s location is one of the best I’ve stayed. It is walkable to the nearest point of interest, restaurants were a few steps away and a bus station. The view on the room is unimaginably unbelievable. Despite a small hotel, breakfast had great variety. Albert was really thoughtful and is always available to help. This hotel is a hidden gem.

This was our second stay at Hotel Palmaria. We stayed about three years ago and again last week. This hotel is perfectly situated. It is clean, neat, well maintained, and priced commensurate with accommodation, which is no-frills. It is geared toward families, I would say. The rooms have twin beds a very small refrigerator and a private shower room. It is only a short walk to the beautiful beach, several restaurants, and a town area just across the cala where you can get groceries. Again, the accommodation is very basic but you will not care as you sit on your private balcony overlooking the beautiful cala below. Bring your own beach towels and soap - none are provided. We will definitely stay again. Highly recommend.

This is a hidden gem. And I'm picky -this place was clean as a whistle, comfortable and the location NOT TO BE BELIEVED! Literally - ocean view of spectacular cove with turquoise waters down below. I'd go again in a heart beat.

Incredible location and views. Parking available for guests. Accommodation was basic but fully in line with the price you paid. The room was clean (and cleaned daily). I would definitely stay there again!

Perfect location. Above the best beach for swimming that we visited during our stay. Family oriented area so was quiet. Room was small, but clean and nice. It more than serves its purpose for our trip and I would recommend it to anyone.

Amazing views, great value, no frills
great no frills stay right by the beach, the views were stunning. I stayed in a much more expensive resort later in this trip and the views could not compare. This hotel is located on a cliff directly above the water and I believe all the rooms have an amazing view and a balcony. The room was very clean, but sparse (as expected by the price), and although the mattress was comfortable, the bedding was not the best (thin and a bit scratchy). Also this particular cove/beach it was next to was less busy than the bigger beaches nearby, but lots of children around so it may be great for a family vacation. hotel amenities were minimal, the included breakfast was okay, good but no fresh fruit and the fresh orange juice was an extra charge (but they juice it in front of you and are not stingy with the number of oranges used). Also, note that they do not give any toiletries like little bottles of shampoo, or even hand soap for the sink so make sure to bring your own. In general, for the price, this place is incredible value and quite comfortable. The location is right by Santanyi, which is a wonderful little town that's not too busy.. worth a visit. lastly, check in process was difficult because check in requires contacting them to let them know when you're arriving. emailing them received no response, and had to call them in the end. person on the other end however, only spoke German and Spanish, which made it hard to communicate. My German coworker ended up checking in for me.

The best place to stay for a quiet beach holiday
Owners Francisca and Cosme are the nicest hotel owners and managers I've ever met! Really genuine and pleasant. The location is simply amazing, and every room has a huge window and balcony overlooking the beautiful beach at Cala Santanyi. Don't be put off that the place is called "hostal" Palmaria, it's a great hotel that just doesn't have 24h staff! Really easy going place with parking too. Really clean, honest place and worth every penny! Not recommended for less mobile people.

a great little hotel run by people that could not do enough for you in a great location overlooking the sea with no passing traffic. Visit before mid October as all the local eateries close for the winter !

Cala Santanyi Paradise
We had the most amazing stay! The view from the balcony left us speechless. Lovely breakfast on the terrace facing Cala Santanyi. The owners Francesca and Cosme were wonderful -- spoke little english but made us feel comfortable anyway. Recommended!

Cala Santanyi is beautiful. It's a perfect place to get away from the every day. Hostal Palmaria is probably the best situated in the bay for the views & sunset.

All about the view!
Hostel Palmaria is a basic Spanish Hostel with an amazing view. No TV, large bathroom, balcony, fridge. You can walk down a slope to the beautiful beach. Not a long walk but steepish. Parking available but busy. Restaurants limited and a bit pricey but live music fun. Great 2 night stay

This hotel was very basic but in a fabulous location and was very affordable. Advertised here as having aircon in the rooms but they did not and in peak summer the rooms can be a little uncomfortable when trying to sleep in the heat. Managers only speak only a little English but enough to get by.

What a great place to stay!
What a wonderful location! Great views over the cove and the beach from the balcony. A tidy, air conditioned room with a nice bathroom and only steps from the beach. The family that run the hotel are very friendly and couldn't do enough. They manage this without being pushy or in the way. Breakfast on the terrace with the great views is a joy. I've stayed in many 3* and 4* hotels that have not been as enjoyable as Palmaria.

Ótima localização
A localização do hotel é excelente para desfrutar a Cala Santanyi. Recomendo que aluguem carro para circular pelas praias e levem repelente para mosquitos - é uma delícia ficar na varanda do quarto, mas sofri um pouco com os mosquitos. Importante também saber que o café da manhã começa apenas as 9h (eu tive que sair pro aeroporto as 7h da manhã e nao tinha nada pra comer, apesar de ter pago pela refeição)

Spenderade tre nätter på Hostal Palmaria. Utsikten från rummet/balkongen är verkligen magisk. Hotellet ser precis ut som bilderna och levde upp till våra förväntningar, enkelt och trevligt. Finns flera fina bukter för bad på gångavstånd och helt ok restauranger i viken men rekommenderar generellt en bil för att kunna ta sig runt på ön. Gratis parkering utanför hotellet.

Es ist sehr einfach und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es gibt zu unserer Freude keinen Fernseher. Der Ausblick ist der schönste den ich je gesehen hatte. Tolle Lage. Das Zimmer war sauber und das Personal sehr freundlich. Nur der Kaffee beim Frühstück hat Potential. Ein bisschen Obst oder Gemüse wäre auch toll, da ich keine Wurst und keinen Käse esse. Ich freue mich schon auf das nächste Mal

Un lugar como en casa

Hostal e local incríveis!
A nossa experiencia foi ótima. O hostal é muito bom, confortavel, pegamos um quarto com vista para o Mar que deixou ainda mais impressionante o local. É bem pertinho da Cala (que tem a cor da água incrivel). O Casal dono do local é muito simpático e nos ajudou muito, o Sr. Cosme nos falou do mercado do outro lado da praia, e foi muito bonzinho nos ajudando com o transfer no dia de ir embora (o cara estava perdido) e ligou pedindo orientação. Recomendo muito, o local é lindo e o hostal confortável. Vale muito a pena conhecer. A gente foi até a Cala vizinha para fazer passeio de barco e conhecer os arredores. Fizemos o passeio do Fishing boat e foi muuuuito bom.
