Great boutique hotel in an excellent location on a side street near shops, transit and the pier. The staff was outstanding. Everyone was VERY personable and attentive. Nice adjoining restaurant for breakfast.

The decor was tasteful and up to date. Excellent central location however very noisy during the night from the street. Unfortunately there was a wall centimetres away from the bed which was very inconvenient and felt claustrophobic. No fridge. No chairs so nowhere to sit. Limited clothes storage. Bedside tables too small. Good choice of breakfast however limited range of healthy cereals. Well cooked hot breakfast.

Gorgeous room in a gorgeous district. From the photos, I thought it might be a but twee but the room was so tastefully appointed and the bed was a dream. Walk out the front door of the hotel and you’re in it. Everything you want from a boutique hotel experience.

Charming "Frenchiness", well preserved building with tasteful interior design; not "boutiqued". Well located in a lively neighborhood, still a quiet register once in the hotel. The attached Café also deserves credit, as a complement to the hotel per se. I'll repeat the selection when in Marseille again.

We loved this hotel. The people at the desk were very helpful and available 24/7. The room was a tad tight but charming and well decorated. We had a balcony which was a nice amenity. The linens were exceptional - sheets and towels. Do yourself a favor and have breakfast at the adjoining restaurant.

Staff was very friendly. The hotel itself was a great spot to come back to and enjoy a drink outside or at their bar. We did the breakfast included and were very happy with the service and food that came with that. It was more than enough for the breakfast. We thought the location was great, especially if you are looking to visit the Vieux Port. Maybe a 10 minute walk to get there. The Port Area had a many cafes and brassieres to choose from. The next street up from the hotel was a very nice outdoor market. Very bustling area. Close access to the tram.

The room was beautiful, very clean and had a detailed decorative touches the staff regret. The food in the next-door restaurant was great. The area was walking distance to the pier a lot of good restaurants around high-end stores a few blocks away if you can walk 30-40 min very close to sightseeing. Very straight walk from train station to hotel. I felt safe in the neighborhood a lot of hustle and bustle. A lot of ethical food stalls around the hotel. Didn’t like about the area homeless and beggars around the area. My room was tiny but good enough for 1 person, great terrace to sit and watch people. Not much toiletries in the room and no paper tissue around. Overall great clean hotel with beautiful staff and friendly. Would recommend.

We had an excellent stay at Hotel Amista in Marseille. The location was excellent - close to the port and Metro for easy travel, but quiet enough at night to not keep us awake. The hotel itself is lovely and clean with modern amenities and friendly staff. We enjoyed breakfast each morning which we had paid for in advance. There was a set menu but lots of choice within that including delicious fresh sourdough bread from the bakery across the street! We struggled to finish but it meant we didn't need much at lunchtime! We also asked the hotel to arrange a taxi for us from the airport as our flight was due to arrive quite late, so this was very helpful. Definitely recommend this hotel and we would be happy to stay again.

Everyone at Hotel Amista was fabulous. Our luggage was delayed and the servers in the bar loaned us their adaptors so we could at least charge our phones. The breakfast was lovely. While the street construction is kind of a pain, the hotel is in a great walking distance to the port, cafes and shopping. The front desk was very helpful. The room is quiet and we stay here again and highly recommend staying here. All of the employees were friendly and very helpful. I’m afraid to name them as I’m sire I would leave someone out. We met the hotel manager and she is great.
