The staff were pleasant and it was confidently located across the street from a train stop and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. I loved it. We had to remove our shoes as the whole hotel is paved with tatami mats which was really comfortable to walk in. Depending on the timing you can get drinks or late night ramen after the onsen experience."

"This hotel was definitely a delightful experience. I have never stayed in a ryokan before and this will definitely set the bar high. Staff was very helpful. We used the private onsen and not the public one and it was great. The bed on the tatami floor was surprisingly comfortable. Our room came with excellent Japanese dinner and breakfast. That was very close to the bamboo Grove so we were able to visit early in the morning without the crowds. It is also very close to a lot of tourist attractions. My only regret is not staying longer."
