"What an AMAZING hidden gem! The house was seriously so cool. So many things to look at and read. The kitchen was perfect for our needs and the bedrooms were great. But honestly, the best part of this entire stay was getting to meet Laura and talk with her. What an amazing woman with some amazing stories about coming to Alaska. She is seriously the sweetest, coest person to talk to and so incredibly hospitable. We absolutely recommend staying with Laura and Martin at the Gilmore house!"

Modern 4-bed home, 10 min from town. Deck with Aurora and mountain views, pond, updated kitchen, master suite with jet tub, radiant floors, fast Wi-Fi. Open concept living and dining. Beautifully renovated inside—cozy, private, and peaceful.

"The open floor plan was perfect for a family get together! We played cards at the huge table and comfortable dining room chairs. The kitchen was the ultimate with all the tools and accessories you’d need! There were many special touches of decor. Everyone was thrilled with accommodations. The beds and linens were wonderful. There were 4 queen beds and two twin beds, but the two twin beds were bunk beds over 2 of the queen beds. That was a little bit uncomfortable for an older person to use. There were a lot of stairs to climb to get to the main floor, but the older folks handled it. It was worth it for the view and the bay window seats! We had a fabulous time together!"

"My daughter and I spent four nights in this beautiful, cozy cabin in January. The cabin was comfortable and well appointed. The host was generous and responsive. The cabin was conveniently located just out of town and in the hills, yet a quick drive to everything. We were surrounded by trees but could step onto the driveway to see the aurora. I highly recommend staying here."
