Aurora Villa

"The location is not ideal if you want to have easy access to restaurants and stores. The drive to town for anything is about 20 - 25 minutes. We booked this place for aurora viewing but the timing was not right. There's no activity the 3 nights we were there. The management of this place can do better with breakfast choices. I did. not eat anything from the freezer as those items appeared to be there for a long time. There's no even a fresh loaf of bread there for us to make a toast in the morning. The drink options can also be better. There's no diet soda and only two choices of soda. What's wrong with a little bit of everything! I think management is just lazy to restock every day. There's no housekeeping service. I was told it has to be arranged. We saw a guy there on the second day to fix something. I did not see any 'professional' cleaning staff there to clean the two rooms when people moved out. As for our room, when we checked in I noticed the comfortable covers for both beds were no pressed. It's pretty wrinkle like someone just used them the night before. I expected more I guess. Overall, it's an okay stay if you don't want to 'chase' the aurora and still have to ability to view it."

"Charming charming charming. The cottage is as cozy & comfy & cute in real life as it is on the listing. Laura & Martin are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, responsive hosts. We felt right at home. We had all the amenities of home…even rubber boots to borrow for swampy bird hikes. Highly recommend!"

"The staff was very friendly and helpful. Every morning JB would make a hot breakfast for the guests. The room was clean, spacious, and felt more like home than a hotel room. The lodge had a great pourch to view the Northern Lights, and I could even see the lights from my bedroom window. Dont sleep on this one, book a stay!"
