The hotel staff are fantastic and when they had an issue as no booking received she sorted it out. The food ia amazing ♥️

Hello I am confused to see you have put 2 out of 10. I believe you did not arrive for your stay so the card was charged for payment as per terms of booking. If you can contact us to explain why you have put a 2 having had no contact with the hotel it would be helpful.

Overnight Experience
Reception was good. We were booked into room 5. The condition was tidy but in need of refurbishment. Bed not that comfortable. Not taken an evening meal. Breakfast was good Freshly cooked and tasty.

Great property., not generic and very unique . . . .lovely gardens and (the best bit) very friendly, engaging staff and owners . . . . .nothing was a problem . . . very welcoming, very friendly, great service, the hotel was full of home comforts; which is avery pleasant change from the corperate nature of most hotels of any quality . . . .really enjoyed our stay.

Disappointing stay
Disappointed with condition and certainly didn’t think it was value for money. Bedroom, dining room and sitting area was really jaded and vase of dead flowers in reception kind of summed that up. Food was also very poor

We did strive to accommodate your ground floor requirements.I am sorry you feel some areas are 'jaded' we do continually upgrade areas. Disappointingly we received no feedback in the restaurant or at check out regarding the food, so did not have the opportunity to address any issues. This quaint hotel is a short, easy 10-minute walk from downtown Melton-Mowbray (plan to walk if you don't have your own car, as Uber hasn't found Melton yet and cabs are hard to come by at short notice). The grounds are well kept. Our room had a large, comfortable four-poster bed, and the bathroom was nicely outfitted with a large tub and shower attachment. The dining area looks out on the grounds and is bright and airy. We had a full English breakfast that was very good. All staff - front desk, housekeeping, kitchen - were helpful, friendly, and welcoming.

Lovely hotel but the night we stayed was so hot and humid we were uncomfortable all night We didn’t eat in the hotel The room was really nice Just on the outskirts of Melton

Amazing Staff!
Stayed here on business, bit sceptical as not been impressed with Best Western before, however……staff were amazing & really friendly.Hotel Was a bit dated but very clean. Restored my faith in Best Western, will definitely stay again!

Excellent staff and wonderful room.
Excellent and friendly staff, wonderful room overlooking the river and gardens. The evening meal food was delicious and fresh. We would highly recommend this hotel if you’re in the area .

Arriving at the hotel was such a delight, exactly as the photos showed. Lovely staff, beautiful grounds and we really enjoyed a drink in the garden followed by dinner. Definitely recommend it.

Excellent place to stay
We really enjoyed our stay and will be returning in the future. All the staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Lots of outside space available. Room was clean and checked every day. Nothing really to complain about apart from the heatwave during our stay.

Stayed in the annex not the main building. Felt like I was staying in an elderly relatives front room. Very dated Deco... Wicker furniture and carpet from the 80's The room had access to a small garden/patio but it was over grown with brambles and would be totally unusable. Main hotel was ok and provided a nice quality breakfast. Would probably just stay in the premier Inn in town if I went back.

We do have rooms decorated in various styles and sadly cannot possibly create a look that will appeal to everyone all of the time.Lloyd loom style is popular furniture. We appreciate the patio is not usable at present which is why there is no access, there is however a 2 acre garden at the front overlooking the fields which is stunning unlike the garden and view at the Premier Inn! I am pleased that you enjoyed your breakfast and I hope that you found the view from the restaurant to be a pleasant one.

Hotel is on a main road but there were lovely gardens at the back with great views and it was quiet sitting at the back. Its a homely hotel with very welcoming managers. The room and bathroom was clean with usual tea coffee etc. The food was exceptionally good.

Super Stay
This is a small hotel and very relaxing. The staff were friendly. We had dinner and lunch both were excellent. The garden was beautiful. Our room was one of the nicest we have ever stayed in. Just two small points: a small fridge in the room with fresh mlk/water would be nice and a choice of pillows as we both found those provided were very hard.

A gem of a hotel
Very welcoming reception, trouble free arrival, and a really lovely hotel. One with twists and turns before you get to your room and in a good way. Our room and bathroom was spotless, beautifully decorated with many nice features. Very willing and flexible restaurant, with a dinner menu with just the right amount of choices.
