Although it was out of the main resort it was only a short bus ride down to the Peurto de Mogan but we quite often walked it which took around 40 mins . The buse were quite regular & the taxis were reasonable. There was a superb bakery just 5 mins from the property which we got fresh bread from every day also some lovely pastries. "We had a wonderful week here, location is perfect for walking to town and the beach. The accommodation had everything we could possibly have needed and the host was extremely helpful on the few occasions we needed help. Would certainly recommend for a good base for a week exploring the island or just relaxing by the pool or beach."

"Wow! What a find. A beautiful house just outside Puerto Morgan. Far enough away that you have some seclusion, but close enough to the town to enjoy it. Only two other properties share the site including the po which we had to ourselves for the whole visit. Surrounded by tropical fruit trees and regularly arrived home to fresh mango and papaya waiting for us. Really lovely place, well cared for and great communication from the owners. Will be back!"

"We stayed at Finca Horno de la Teja for a week in early January, 5 adults and 3 kids/teens. Ilse was very helpful and responded quickly to our requests, and even let us delay our check-out. The house and property was spotless with plenty of space and well equipped. The pool was clean and nicely tempered (26-27 deg). At that time of year the sun reached us at 10:15 and disappeared about 18:30. There’s a 10ish minute drive down to the coast and Puerto Mogán. You do need a car to get around, but...

"Beautiful hotel, photos don't do it justice. There are over 450 species of plants, there is so much to look at. Every day you find a new beautiful plant that you hadn't seen previously. Rooms are super spacious, cleaning was fabulous. Breakfast had loads of choice. Animation team were great and really looked after the kids and made the adults feel involved too. Personally I wish there was more on for adults, more activities and the evening entertainment ended quite early. I would recommend going during their fiesta del Carmen last week of July and first week of August - you get to experience the local culture. Tourist tended to be more Spanish than English which I hadn't experienced before at other canary island hotels. Bowling is fantastic too, make use of it. A shame the spa isn't included as part of the price "
