"We stopped at this hotel just overnight on our way from Cornwall to Portsmouth, and I thought it was a good choice! I found it comfortable and clean, with a tasty breakfast and helpful staff. It's a short walk to the beach and the Cobb, so I was able to go out in the early morning to see it. I wish we could have stayed longer, and hope to come back and visit again!"

"Location: Hotel is sited close to the Cathedral and the heart of the city. The only major drawback for some might be the lack of a car park although this did not affect me as I arrived by bus with a bus stop just a few yards away from the hotel. Room: My room although a little dark was well equipped and very quiet. The bathroom has rather dated with a deep bath and a shower that had to be hand held with no shower screen or curtain. Overall the room was very comfortable and I certainly had a good night’s sleep. Food/Drink: There is the offer of a very basic and limited continental breakfast or a good range of cooked breakfasts if you prefer. The hotel has an excellent range of craft beers and serves a range of evening meals. Staff: Very welcoming and helpful. Overall: If Wells is your destination I would certainly recommend staying here. "

"Super-charming little Inn I picked somewhat at random from internet recommendations of historic hotels. The room was wonderful, the view overlooking the street was great. Loved the quaint little town, a street market the morning of my departure made everything just the more memorable and enjoyable."
