Lovely friendly welcome at check in, and this continued throughout our stay. The restaurant is excellent, I have never had a steak pie with so much meat, it was beautiful. We had a room on the upper floor, it was beautifully presented , comfortable and clean. Would stay again

Stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights while catching up with friends found the staff to be very helpful and attentive. The room was very comfortable also had food in the restaurant on the first night which was very good the fish and chips were the star of the show 👌. All in all a great stay and will definitely be back.

The only aspect that we did not like was that the mattress springs were not in good condition Poor mattress was not experienced during several previous stays at the property

We would have liked an earlier breakfast start time as we were travelling on to an appointment in Scotland.

Dear Colin, Thank you for your review. I am slightly confused on your remark of not being able to have an earlier breakfast. We are able to offer a full continental breakfast from 7;30 am if requested. It is not possible to offer it any earlier than this as there are no staff on site before that.

Very nice hotel in the heart of town with a great restaurant and bar for the evening - the area has some great walking options or can be used as a base to explore further afield - highly recommended

A lovely hotel in a beautiful village near the castle. Our ground floor room was bright, spacious and clean and the bed was really comfortable. Greta food and service in the restaurant and staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Date of stay: September 2023

Very enjoyable.
Lovely room with character. Room on ground floor feet away from the through road but noise insignificant. Staff very helpful with good service. Excellent cooked to order breakfast with a variety of options. Small free car park to the rear accomodating about 8 cars. Public car park in the square and by the river if you follow through past the Square and the Church.

Room very noisy as it’s next to main road, therefore unable to open window because of heavy traffic. Extremely hot room. Breakfast excellent and staff v. helpful.

Dear Choo, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, although your feedback is mixed. I am sorry that you felt the room was noisy, unfortunately during the day we are based on the main coastal route through Northumberland, so heavy traffic can be expected during the day, however by the evening it has died down. In regards to the room being to hot there is also little we can do to combat this. All windows in all rooms do open and we have placed fans in all rooms as well.I do hope that despite these niggles you were able to enjoy your time in Warkworth. Kind Regards, Sam

Superb Hotel in a Quaint Village
The hotel and the staff were brilliant. Room 7 was clean, big and well stocked. Evening food, breakfast and packed lunch was brilliant. What an amazing place to stay and enjoy the Northumberland Coast.

Stayed two nights with a group of six. An excellent hotel. The hotel is spotless, rooms are comfortable and bathroom appeared brand new - absolutely perfect. Evening meal and breakfast were very good.

We were looking for a quiet, clean, comfortable hotel in the Morpeth area for a one night stay. And with a restaurant. This one turned out to be perfect for our purposes and situated in a very attractive spot on the River Coquet.

Lovely location
Staff were friendly. Lovely part of village and I admire the way they have kept the building as original as possible. It’s a listed building and it’s hard to maintain but much more enjoyable than a new built metal box hotel. Long may it continue . Incredible castle just 5 min walk away .
