"Place is disgusting .. smells before you open the door.. you can tell people live here and pay weekly, they make it clear they have priority because they live there .. air conditioning doesn’t work.. blows cool air but the curtains are so long the air gets trapped in the window and does not cool the room off.. took one look around, kids and I left.. was told I couldn’t get a refund, yall can keep it.. id rather sleep in my car, than in any room in this establishment: "

Fun day visiting "Mayberry" -- Andy Griffith museum is nice. Did not get to tour the Mt. Airy museum -- ran out of time on a Sunday. Go on another day when more of the businesses are open. Did attend the monthly car show and that was really nice.

Wish we had more time to explore more of the area. But we did get to eat at 13 Bones steak and seafood restaurant, its a must do if you come for a visit or even just passing through. They take reservations, online or call in. Make a reservation.

"Room has been completely renovated. The room was very clean. Fit my needs for a place to sleep overnight on a vacation trip to the Atlantic coast. This is a basic room in a Budget motel, but recommend for a one night stay due to renovation and cleanliness. If spending multiple nights in area you may want a facility with more amenities."
