With new rules, restrictions and safety measures in place, travel looks a bit different today. These are some helpful things to know before you hop on that plane to Murano:

• Research what, if any, restrictions or rules apply to both your origin and destination. You may not be able to travel depending on local circumstances, so don't forget to check before you book your flight.
• Keep your face mask on even during airport screening. A TSA officer will ask you to adjust your mask for identification purposes.
• To decrease the risk of cross-contamination, place your boarding pass on the reader yourself and then hold it up for inspection. Do not hand your pass directly to a TSA agent.
• One liquid hand sanitizer container is now allowed in your carry-on luggage. It must be no larger than 12 oz (350 ml), and you'll have to remove it from your bag for screening.
• To reduce handling during the screening process, place items such as your loose change and phone into your carry-on rather than the bins.
• Separate any food you have for X-ray scanning. Placing it in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA agent to touch and inspect your belongings.
