"Extremely elegant and beautiful hotel. Room size is huge and such a rarity for Tokyo. The garden is a dream. Not too many public transportation options but is walkable to a couple metro stations and there are free shuttle buses to and from Ikebukuro station which could be handy. Staff are super helpful. Can’t wait to go back!"

"The staff were always very helpful. They were able to have our large luggage transferred to the airport 4 days ahead of our departure so we didn’t have to take it all with us to Kyoto. Our room was quiet, clean and spacious with a beautiful view of Tokyo. All the toiletries were a bonus too! "

"It’s right by the nippori station so that in itself is a big plus. The rooms are on the smaller end but very much doable for a party of two in one bed, and especially for a solo traveler. Laundry is on the second floor and very easy to use. Also, never had the breakfast buffet but it is a traditional Japanese breakfast and not an American one, which is great for those looking for that. Nippori itself is a lively city, with a quiet and calmer neighborhood to the right of the hotel, and plenty of restaurants, cafe’s, and activities to the left. I personally enjoyed the quick and easy access to the area, and the quick walk to Familymart and the station. Staff was as friendly as can be, and I recommend this place for those on a budget! It’s a few stops from Ueno and akihabara and Tokyo station on the JR line, which means a great ability to move anywhere Definitely recommend"
