First Stay in Harlem
I travel to NYC often. This was my first time staying in Harlem. I enjoyed it tremendously. The apartment easily accommodated our group of three adults. It is nicely situated between subway and bus lines. Convenience and grocery stores are an easy walk away. The neighborhood is clearly in transition. Avenues are bright and bustling, side street somewhat dark but we always felt safe. The property managers were very prompt in response to questions. My only recommendation to them is to equip the kitchen better (pots, pans,etc.) and consider installing a security bar in shower.

Great location, could use some upgrades
I would have rated this unit 3.5 stars if that was an option. Pros: The location is great. The neighborhood feels safe, the building is secure, there is tons of great food within walking distance, and there are several different subway lines within walking distance. (Side note: highly recommend using the MTA app when riding the subway.) The unit was fairly clean when we arrived. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean and the sheets and towels were clean. The instructions provided by the owner before we arrived were very clear and helpful. Getting into the unit was very easy. Things that could use improvement: There were two coffee pots, neither of which worked correctly. There were no wine glasses as shown in one of the pictures. The place is dusty. There are layers of dust on the wood trim and other areas. Our family did a lot of sneezing while in the unit. The towels and sheets have a strong smell of fragrance. The owner never responded to any of my emails. The windows must not be well insulated because we could hear a lot of street noise in the unit, all night long. The blinds in the kitchen don’t work at all and the curtains are sheer. The master bed is not really suitable for two adults. It has a large dip in the middle. The pillows are cheap and uncomfortable. Other notes: The shower does take about 2-3 minutes to get warm but we never ran out of hot water, even with four showers back to back. The second double bed and pull out couch are decent.

In our check in instructions, we do ask all guests to immediately report any issues immediately especially cleaning as the apartment is cleaned by a professional commercial cleaning company. The apartment was very quiet which is really nice after the hustle of NYC. It is very close to the subway lines and other conveniences. The bed in in the larger room was terrible! It sagged in the middle to such a point that you had a hard time getting out of it. For two people…it was what we would call a deep valley. There really was no comfortable furniture to just lounge on. The TV is in the kitchen area which is probably not used much anyway since you aren’t in NYC to watch TV but it does give you an idea of furniture. There was a futon like couch in what would be the living room but it was made up to be used as a bed. Still it was clean, quiet, very secure and a reasonable price for a two bedroom.

NYC Vacation
The area was quiet for the most part. Subway is literally just down the street. Very easy to get to. Walked, of course, everywhere. It’s was good for us as we were gone most of the time during the day. Mostly quiet neighborhood. Main bed has a dip in the middle of it.

We were in NYC visiting family and had a great stay! We very pleased with the place and location. Easy walk to subway and everything else Harlem and Manhattan has to offer. Building is safe and clean. Hosts were always super responsive.

A Harlem Gem
Positives: This property is near the subway and bus lines, making it really easy to explore NYC. The flat was clean, accessible, and functional. Cons: the radiator in the bathroom leaks onto the floor and wall, the wifi was difficult to connect, no hand soap available for tenants because of insurance seems off, the shower head sprays wide and makes a mist, no extra trash bags since the onus of taking out the trash is on the tenant, and the bed frame is worn and dips in the middle. Overall: this flat is one of the better vacation rentals I've experienced in the Harlem area and would definitely consider staying here again.

Plenty of washcloths
I freely admit I'm probably the last person in the world to use washcloths. LOL! I was so happy to see a stack of them in the apartment. My husband and I spent 2 weeks in the apartment, and we had a wonderful time. The subway is just around the corner making transportation easy. There are several restaurants within walking distance as well as grocery stores. This unit is on a quite street and the neighbors were friendly. Would rebook again as host is very responsive and provided very detailed, easy instructions for checking in and out.

Great landing space each night
I would definitely recommend this rental if you don't mind a 20-30 min subway ride to all the "fun stuff" to do in the city. It was great for our purposes because we just needed a place to sleep and shower each night, and we were on a tight budget and this rental was very affordable! It was clean and neat and the renters are very responsive! We knew what we were getting into with the location so it didn't bother us, and the subway station is literally only a couple of minutes walk around the corner which made it convenient.

A Quaint Getaway Pad
The property was welcoming, cozy and clean. It was a little smaller than I expected but still very nice. There’s a 2 flight walk up, so be mindful of the weight of your luggage. The hosts were amazing and very responsive. If you’re looking for a nice place to stay right in the middle of Harlem, choose this.

The location was a very short walk from the 135th Street 1, 2 & 3 line Subway station. Easy ride Central Park, Times Square and other big attraction areas. I would definitely rent this apartment again.

Why stay anywhere else?
This is my favourite place to stay in NYC. It is the perfect place for homebase when visiting New York. The hosts are helpful, welcoming and thoughtful. There was a big storm coming and they even thought to warn us and advise when it was expected to pass. I already can't wait to go back!

Overall - just as the photo showed, simple, close to trains and clean. Had everything needed in the kitchen. A bigger ice cub tray would had been nice. Now, the bed was a bit HOT - due to it being a Memory Foam - another layer under us at night would had been good - as in a Thick Cotton mattress pad. I also was very perplexed as to why ---- No Mirror was in the bathroom --- ..... Hard to get ready, do my hair or brush and floss my teeth - so I grabbed the hallway downstairs small mirror from the entryway and put it above the bathroom sink after the 2nd day..... MUCH NEEDED! and made the stay a bit more normal.......Now, A long mirror - the kind you hang from the door for $15 would had been very useful too - like over the bathroom door.... I had to jump up on the bed, stand in the middle of the bed to make sure my outfits look ok and in place (that was a pain)........ Also 2 luggage racks would had been helpful too with the limited amount of space.. We appreciate a safe place to stay - Thank You (-:

This perfect little suite had everything I needed for my New York vacation. It is close to the subway and in a nice neighborhood. Because it faced an alley the suite was exceptionally quiet and had lots of natural sunlight. I will definitely be staying here again! Patrick and Patricia were wonderful hosts and always quick to respond to any questions. Also they were very accommodating.

Nice place! Right around the corner from subway 2&3
Less than a 3 min walk to the subway station that takes you to downtown. 22-26minutes from the front steps to times square on avg. The space is newly renovated, although not perfectly done, it looks good to me. One fun quirk is the bathroom which requires a lil twist to get through to the toilet. If you are a very large person you'd have trouble I think. We never felt unsafe, even when getting back after dark. Overall we definitely recommend this nice little place, and would stay here again! Thank you for the nice stay!

Das Apartment hat eine super Lage. Wir waren drei Erwachsene - das hat gut gepasst. Die Heizung macht viele Geräusche, das Wasser braucht 2-3 Minuten, bis es warm wird. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter war nett und unkompliziert.

Wer länger als 2 Nächte in Manhattan ist und keine Angst vor alten Gedanken hat,wohnt hier sehr gut . Kaum 5 min zur U-Bahn die als Express bis zum WTC fährt. Einkaufen bei saks und schnell aufs Zimmer mit den Klamotten ist schlecht geplant doof. Zum Schluss kaufen und dann zurück ist besser. Die Wohnung ist ein 1 Zimmer Appartement mit allem was man braucht, wer nur die großen Teile aus dem Koffer nimmt hat genügend Platz für alles. Vor allem das ähnliche Zimmer im Hotel kostet meist das doppelte Mit freundlichen Grüßen M&M Becker

L’appartement est très propre et fonctionnel. L’immeuble est calme ainsi que le quartier. Il est également très bien situé, à 3minutes du subway, lignes 2 et 3. Aucun problème pour rentrer le soir en toute tranquillité. Les propriétaires sont très réactifs pour répondre aux questions ou autres demandes. Je recommande cette location.
