The rooms were clean, the staff are professional and very helpful. The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice of food to choose from. The location is great close to stores, pubs and restaurants. The metro is right there and just 20 minutes away from the airport.
When we checked in to our room there was an issue with it which meant we asked to be moved. Reception very quickly allocated us a new room, no hassle at all. The hotel is in a fantastic location right opposite the train station. It doesn’t have parking but we parked at the station and it was only £12 for 24 hours. Rooms are really nice, beds very comfortable and the breakfast was lovely.
Central hotel in the busy Newcastle city centre. 50 meters from the train station door and easy walking distance to all main dining and nightlife areas. Rooms basic, clean, quiet aircon.
Only downside is that one of the elevators is out of service causing a fairly long wait and there are ongoing refurbishment works in the reception and gym (out of service during our stay).
There are major building works going in at the Hotel which i was not aware of. Only 1 lift works which is a pain ,if on higher floors.
Reception area a bit of a mess.
If i had know i would have stayed somewhere else.
