"Fantastic hotel experience. Many wonderful touches and gestures that made a memorable traditional feeling stay. Rooms and bathrooms exceptional. Service a little out of touch with international high end hotel norms and protocols, but overall highly recommended. "

"Nice place to stay for the price, room was smaller than expected for sure but mainly used it to rest sleep and shower after walking and sight seeing. 7/11 and Family Mart within 2 minutes walking down stairs, train station so close and a food places within walking distance. You can have your room cleaned just place the magnet on your door, fresh towels and tooth brushes provided along with 2 bottles of water. AC could be just a few degrees colder in summer but was just fine.
Would stay again but maybe a larger room next time!"
" Great location practically on top of Suidobashi station. Great for connecting to all the sights we wanted to see. My only complaint was the restaurants were VERY expensive compared to outside the hotel- even just across the road.
The rooms are small with limited storage, but it’s Tokyo so not unexpected. Beds are also small- so westerners probably want a bed per adult (you could probably sleep 1 adult and 1 small child in one bed).
The best bit was then laundry facilities. 8 washer/dryer combination machines that you can check status of via the telly. So you know before heading over if there’s a free machine and you know when yours has stopped. Machines auto dispense the laundry soap, so no need to bring/buy any.
Staff helped us forward our bags to Kyoto, which made our Shinkansen experience much easier!
All in all, a great hotel with fantastic and super helpful staff. "
