"Hotel is lovely but our room had a tiny bathroom, very uncomfortable."

"The room was spacious and clean, with spare bedding provided as well an iron/ironing board and hairdryer Unfortunately there was industrial action taken place effecting the hospitality imdustry and the bar and restaurant were closed for evening meals/drinks, so am unable to comment. However the staff were extremely helpful in providing glasses and ice etc for your room. Breakfast had a good selection of cold foods and cereals, with a small hot selection of scrambled/fried/boiled eggs, crispy fried bacon, small frankfurters, beans and oats. Located off the main roads and our room was quiet with no noise herd from outside."

"Room size was OK, but very little natural light and view was to an inner closed area. Shower space was tiny. Bed was OK and the breakfast was actually very nice. Location it's great too. The elevator bottom at my floor (5) was not working if you wanted to come down, but was working to come up, funny."

"Our room had a fantastic view over beautiful Bergen. Due to the current hotel staff strike, the room was given occasional and limited cleaning. Only breakfast was available, no bar or restaurant during the rest of the day. Staff are entitled to strike and this did not prevent us from having a great stay in Bergen."

"We were moved to Scandic Byeparken because of the hotel staff strike. Very cramped room. Reception staff unsmiling and not terribly helpful. Morning staff much better - friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is first-rate. the hotel is very well situated."
