"Superb location. Very handy for- Tourist Information; Fish Market; Fjords ferry tours terminals; Hop on Hop Off Bus stop.All on door step, Historic Bryggn and Floyen Funicular three minutes walk. Plenty of choice for nearby cafes, restaurants and shops. Excellent breakfast selection - everything you would expect, plus local smoked salmon and herring. Opt for room with harbour view and wake up to a picture postcard every morning. Efficient, friendly, helpful reception staff. Very good English spoken. Perfect spot if, like myself, you have mobility issue as everything I have mentioned accessible 'on the flat'."

"Very vquirky, art deco hotel. Much attention gone into providing a unique setting (lighting, pictures, William Morris wallpaper). Breakfast was (really) superb. The air conditioning in our room couldn't be turned off and there were no instructions so we changed room. Next room was fine except sink plug got stuck. It was a shame as the investment in the electronic wizardry seemed to take precedence over the basic things. However, if we were to stay in Bergen again, this is the hotel we would choose. It was also very centrally located and only a short walk to the tram for the airport."
